To all of our sponsors and donors, your support has truly been changing the lives of our wonderful children in Uganda. We are thrilled to update you on all that has been accomplished.

Projects in 2024:
  • Raised $45,000 of $250,000 for Phase Two of our school.
  • Plans for the Kitchen are being developed.
  • Landscaping, Fencing and Latrines (Phase Two) have started.
Projects completed in 2023:
  • Increased the number of students to 340 students.
  • Provided sport uniforms for soccer.
  • Raised the remaining $40,000 of $150,000 for Phase One of our new school buildings.
  • Phase One has started and will be complete by June 2024.
  • Appointed an incredible Administrative team at LR.
  • Eleven of our P7 students have sat for exit exams.

Projects completed in 2022:
  • Acquired land: Access road is complete and we have $110,000 toward building.
  • Hired 2 new classroom teachers and increased staff pay.
  • Increased the nutrition fund for breakfast and lunch at school.
  • Provided 2 needed surgeries.
  • Provided 150 pairs of reading glasses to the               community.
  • Walk for a Uniform: Raised enough to purchase 285 school uniforms.
     
Projects completed in 2021:

  • Provided relief support to 500 families in April, July, and August.
  • Kept fifteen full-time staff members on payroll during the lockdown, which kept them encouraged as they visited and taught 240 children at the children's respective homes.
  • Facilitated maintenance of the structures at Love Restoration including painting the classrooms and making the bathrooms better.  

Projects completed in 2020:

  • Upgraded kitchen: Built and equipped a new kitchen with two large cooking stoves that produce less smoke and provide a safer environment for school cooks.
  • COVID-19 Relief: Sent food and basic supplies to 310 families from Love Restoration's school during the pandemic, as well as the elderly in the community. 
  • Walk For a Mattress: Held our first fundraising walk and successfully purchased mattresses for 240 children.
  • Online fundraiser: Held our first virtual fundraiser to encourage child sponsorship. 
  • Ongoing maintenance: Continuous improvement of Love Restoration facilities including classrooms, bathrooms and the kitchen.
  • Bibles: Raised funds to provide 300 Bibles to children and staff. In addition, we bought 25 hymn books and 15 prayer books.
  • School supplies: Purchased educational books and sports uniforms.

Projects completed in 2019:

  • Playground equipment: Thanks to a donor the school now has playground equipment for the students.
  • Fence: The Ugandan board expressed the need for a fence for child safety and protection for property. The fence was completed in November 2019.
  • Upkeep on bathrooms: The bathrooms have been serviced and will continue to have ongoing maintenance to improve sanitation.
  • First aid: The school now has one fully functioning first aid kit.
  • Medical assistance: An agreement has been established with a local medical clinic that allows our students to receive medical care. The clinic then provides a bill and it is paid thank you to our donors.
  • Teacher salaries: The Love Restoration staff received an increase in monthly pay. 
  • Nutritional meals: The 215 students get a mid-morning snack and a good lunch while at school. Public schools in Uganda do not serve meals at school.
  • School supplies: Desks and cabinets were purchases for the teachers. School supplies such as books, paper, pencils, etc. were purchased for our students.
